The Computer Science Faculty of Białystok Technical University (BTU) is currently the leading research and educational unit of its kind in the north-eastern Poland. The Faculty’s potential can be certified not only by high professionalism of the academic staff and a large number of students, but also by favourable ratings of the State Accreditation Committee and Faculty’s academic advancements. It has been granted full rights to confer PhD degrees in computer sciences.

The main task of the Computer Science Faculty is to give its students specialist education at the highest level possible. The students study computer science by acquiring programming skills and get acquainted with the latest software and hardware systems. This year we are opening a new course of studies : mathematics with the speciality in computing applications.

Our Faculty graduates have been offered interesting and well-paid jobs both in Poland and abroad. Current development trends indicate a possibility of creating powerful technological centres offering new and interesting jobs in the so called “Eastern Wall” region of Poland. This, however, could be conditioned on the availability of highly specialized employees including computer specialists.
