Biometrics – intelligent solutions

Registration for the Summer School organised within the project ‘Biometrics – intelligent solutions’ has begun.

The project is being carried out by specialists in the field of Biometrics from the Faculty of Computer Science at Bialystok University of Technology, led by Professor Khalid Saeed. Invited specialists from foreign universities will also join the didactic process.

The Summer School will take place from 26.06.2023 to 08.07.2023, including an online course from 26.06 to 30.06.2023 and on-site classes from 03.07 to 08.07.2023 at the Faculty of Computer Science of BUT.

It is planned that 45 international students will participate in the project. Participants will have 20h of lectures and 20h of practical classes in the field of biometrics. The thematic scope of the classes has been divided into 3 blocks:

• Introduction to intelligent methodologies in image and signal processing,
• Introduction to biometrics
• Implementation and practical use of selected biometrics methods.

The school programme will also include cultural and sporting events.

The project is implemented within the framework of the SPINAKER- International Intensive Programmes, run by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
