 Tytuł wystąpienia: The current state of literature regarding handheld devices and image processing in forest measurements

 Abstract: Forest measurements provide the foundation upon which our knowledge and understanding of the current state of the earth’s forests are built. Today, we have aerial mechanisms for forest measurements — but these methods also require ground-sample verification using traditional sampling techniques by forest professionals. With advancements in technology throughout the years, „traditional” tools and methods used by forest professionals are being challenged by 3D modelling and artificial intelligence techniques using handheld devices. This seminar explores a currently developing literature review encompassing tablet and smartphone use in the field of forestry and their mechanisms of operation with an emphasis on image processing.
