Tytuł wystąpienia: Modelling Opinion Dynamics: From Imitation to Collective Behaviour
Abstract: Opinion dynamics models provide a mathematical framework for understanding how interactions between individuals give rise to collective behaviour, with applications in social systems, information spreading, and financial markets. A fundamental example is the Voter model, where individuals adopt the opinions of their neighbours through imitation. By introducing additional mechanisms, such as random opinion changes or memory effects, we obtain modifications of the classical model that exhibit qualitatively different collective phenomena. Particular attention is given to the Voter model with aging, where we investigate how memory effects influence the collective dynamics and long-term behaviour of the system.
