What: Intro to Quarkus

This talk offers a high-level overview of Quarkus, an innovative Java framework posing as a fresh alternative to Spring. Focusing on developer productivity and smooth integration with existing standards, this talk aims to debunk the myth of Java’s impending death and hopefully provoke some curiosity for Java developers looking beyond the dominant tools.

Who: Frank Connolly

An experienced Back-End Software Engineer with over 13+ years in the field. A graduate from Queen’s University Belfast in Computer Science, Frank began his career with IBM working in the Networking and Security divisions and later took on a Scrum Master role in the Watson division in England. Since then he has worked for American insurance giant Allstate and its data-focussed startup company Arity. In 2021 he embraced a new cultural and professional chapter in Poland, joining Cronn and navigating the Polish language.
