Recruitment of international students for the FUNGITAX summer school – From Data to Nature

Dear Foreign Students,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Summer School “FUNGITAX – From Data to Nature” at Bialystok University of Technology, which will take place in Białystok, Poland, from April 1st to April 10th, 2025.

This unique program offers a great opportunity to expand your knowledge, develop new skills, and engage with an international academic community. You will have the chance to attend lectures and workshops conducted by experts, participate in practical projects, and experience Polish culture in a vibrant university setting.

The Summer School will cover various topics related to Data Exploration, providing both theoretical and hands-on learning experiences.

The classes, consisting of lectures and workshops, will focus on the data processing workflow and the application of selected machine learning methods for dataset analysis. The successive stages of working with a dataset will include data preparation for analysis, the use of low- and high-dimensional data visualization techniques for data exploration, and the application of various classification methods. This will enable a comparative analysis of the methods and facilitate the selection of the final model for the dataset. 

Additionally, social and cultural activities will allow you to explore Białystok and connect with fellow participants.

Who can apply?

• International students from a foreign university in the field of science, technology or natural sciences who will complete the electronic application and send reference letter from university, stating student status and English language ability, by 26.02.2025.
• Academic teacher person holding at least a doctoral degree or an equivalent degree obtained who will complete the electronic application and send a reference letter issued by a person holding at least a doctoral degree from a university other than the candidate’s home university by 26.02.2025.
